Today we reviewed the homework from last night and each of the students graded their own paper so they could evaluate what topics they are struggling with. In general, the work had been done very well.
After reviewing the homework, the students were given time on laptop computers to explore a website that is dedicated to genetics. The website is http://www.learn.genetics.utah.edu
The students were specifically asked to view 3 segments on the Heredity and Genetics portion of the site: "What is heredity?", "What is a gene?", and "What is a chromosome?". After viewing these sections of the site, students were given an opportunity to further explore sections of the website or begin work on their homework.
The homework is to finish the Chapter 5-2 section review. A copy is attached below.
