All students are given opportunities to make up any and all assignments that they miss due to a class absence or that they score below a 74% on.
If a student misses a class due to an absence they have as many days as they missed to make up the work without a penalty. (example - if a student misses 2 days, they have 2 days after they get back to make up the work)
After an assignment has been missed, that assignment can be made up but a penalty will be assessed for turning the assignment in late. (example - a perfect paper turned in late will be docked 10% per week late up to a maximum of 20%. This means that a perfect paper turned in even months late can still receive an 80%. Zeroes will not be added to a student's grade until the end of the quarter after the student has been given multiple chances to make up missing assignments.
I am available most days before school (from 8am until homeroom begins at 8:40) to help students with their work. I just ask that a student lets me know ahead of time if they plan to show up.
