Week of October 8, 2007

*Students have received their Unit 1 project sheet.  All projects are due October 12.  They are to choose 1 project from each of the 4 categories:

1. Elements, Compounds and Mixtures
2. Potential and Kinetic Energy
3. Balanced and Unbalance Forces
4. Simple Machines

*Unit 1 Test on Thursday

Monday:  Students will be conducting labs on simple machines.  Students will rotate through a series of 7 mini labs.

Tutoring Monday from 4:30 -5:30

Homework:  Work on Unit 1 projects and begin preparing for Unit 1 Test

Tuesday:  Students will continue with simple machines mini labs.

Homework:  Work on Unit 1 projects

Wednesday:  Review for test with Jeopardy-like game.

Tutoring Wednesday from 4:30 -5:30 to prepare for test.

Homework:  Work on Unit 1 projects, study for test.

Thursday:  Unit 1 Test.

Tutoring Thursday from 8:00 - 8:40 am to prepare for test.

Homework:  Work on Unit 1 projects and have IAN ready to turn in on Friday.

Friday:  Unit 1 project wrap-up and presentations.  Students will turn in Unit 1 IAN for final notebook check and begin setting up Unit 2 IAN (Science with food and cooking).

Homework: Prepare new IAN set up for Unit 2.
