Week of January 14, 2008

Unit 3 Test will be on Friday, January 18.  Test will cover energy, heat transfer, electricity and magnetism. 

Tutoring for test available Monday and Wednesday from 4:30 - 5:30, Thursday and Friday morning at 8:00 am.

Students need to turn in 2nd semester syllabus.  Download a copy here.

*Holiday:  Monday, January 21, 2008.

*Student-led conferences with parents and teacher will be held beginning January 22.  Students will be released from school at 2:15 daily.

Monday 1/14: Students will investigate magnetism through a series of mini labs

Tutoring Monday from 4:30 -5:30 

Homework: Begin studying for Unit 3 Test. 

Tuesday 1/15: Students will investigate magnetism through a series of mini labs

Homework: Study for Unit 3 Test.  Prepare IAN for check.

Wednesday 1/16: *Short schedule due to 8th Grade Writing Exam in morning.

Students will receive a study guide and work in groups to prepare for Unit 3 Test.

Tutoring Wednesday from 4:30 -5:30.

Homework: Complete study guide. Study for Unit 3 Test.  Prepare IAN for check.

Thursday 1/17: Review with "Jeopardy Style" Game

Tutoring from 8:00 - 8:40

Homework: Study for Unit 3 Test.  Prepare IAN for check.

Friday 1/18: Unit 3 Test.  Hand in IAN.  Prepare New IAN.

Homework: Prepare new IAN for Unit 4:  "Light and Sound Show"
