Language Arts Tutoring

Language Arts tutoring is available Monday-Thursday from 7:40-8:40.

Monday/Wednesday:  Ms. Stephens

Tuesday/Thursday:  Ms. Ventura

Daily Homework

Students should be reading 30 minutes every night.  They have a reading log to complete to show that they understand what they are reading.

Students should also spend a minimum of 10 minutes review concepts covered in class.

Technical Writing Unit

Standards:

ELA6W2.a:  Creates or follows an organizing structure appropriate to purpose, audience and context.

ELA6W2.b:  Excludes extraneous and inappropriate information.

ELA6W2.d:  Applies rules of standard English.

ELA6C1.d:  Demonstrates appropraite comma and semi-colon usage (words in direct address).
