Welcome Back 8th Graders!!!

Welcome back everyone!  I hope that everyone had an enjoyable summer break.  It seems not long ago that you were coming in as little 6th graders trying to find your way.  I have watched you grow into young ladies and gentlemen and am so proud of all of your hard work the past 2 years! 

Having said that, it is time to get serious about taking steps in planning for your future.  I will be assisting you all year with preparing you for high school as well as the many possibilites for after high school. By the end of August, I will have met with all of you in your Social Studies classes to give you some very valuable information.

I am looking forward to working with you and having a great year!  As ALWAYS, I am here for EACH one of you EVERY DAY :-)

Welcome Back 7th Graders!

Welcome back 7th Graders!!  I hope you had an enjoyable and restful summer break.  I am looking forward to a wonderful and productive school year so I trust that everyone is ready to work hard.  I can't wait to see everyone from last year and am looking forward to getting to know our new students.  Let's make sure we are helpful and show them a warm welcome!!

Transition Activities

Our 6th Grade Peer Helpers have been working so hard on our upcoming visits to our Elementary schools which will take place the end of March.  Our presentations will consist of a power point and a video "a day in the life of a 6th grade CMS student."  Our feeder schools include: Argyle, Brown, Belmont Hills, Green Acres, Nickajack and Teasley.

I have also begun my career unit which will take place during Social Studies classes.  We will be taking and interest inventory/personality assessment followed researching a career of choice.

6th Grade Counselor

By the end of the week of September 3rd through the 7th, I will have had the opportunity to speak with all 6th grade students in their social studies class to discuss the activities I will be helping with during the school year as well the opportunity to sign up for groups and programs I will be facilitating.

Applications for peer helpers and peer tutoring are available in the counselors office.
