Word Processing and Presentation
If you are having problems viewing or do not own Microsoft Office I recommend OpenOffice as a free alternative. OpenOffice is a free productivity suite that allows the open and save as Microsoft Word and Powerpoint files.
PDF Files
Some of the assingments use PDF format and I recommend opening them in either AdobePDF or FoxitPDF.
