These are in combination with two that I had already found on Gettysburg that you all may be interested in. They are really awesome interactive maps of the battle, and the kids have really learned a lot from these websites:

Here are all the responses I received from the Listserv:
*The History Channel has some interactive games and activities. I know they have one about Sherman's March to the Sea. http://www.history.com/games
*The Library of Congress website-loc.gov-has many lesson plans that have been developed for their vast holdings. Some of them focus on many aspects of the Civil War and might have games already prepared. However- GAMES about slavery and the deaths of thousands- think about it- is that really in good taste- just my opinion, though. Please note-Alton,where my school is,was the site of the lynching of Elijah P. Lovejoy, the site of a Lincoln -Douglas debate and a stop on the Underground Railroad.
*There are quite a few good choices on these lists; the NY Times, PBS, EdSitement, NatGeo, NeoK12, and Mr Nussbaum sites all seem to be promising.

*scholastic has a few great one, I know they make na excellent underground railroad and an awesome Croatan Indian/pilgrims interactive site.
* PBS: Images of the Civil War
This website allows users to explore archival images, based on Ken Burn's Civil War series. In the Telling Details interactive feature, users can explore the details of images from the Civil War by clicking on highlighted areas (Check out the Quaker Cannons!). Using the Telling a Story feature, users can create a slideshow of archival images to go along with the prerecorded narration. Image Browser allows users to view (and import) images of soldiers from the Library of Congress archives.
