The AJC in Education provides the electronic edition of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in order to promote literacy, create lifelong reading habits and reach students where they live--in an increasingly digital world.
The benefits of AJC in Education include:
Educational: it is an exact replica of the home delivered AJC to enhance classroom learning. It includes free educational content, such as online lesson plans, resource and curriculum guides and more.
Easy to use: students can search by keywords and project or print what is applicable to the daily lesson plans. Once student supplements and curriculum guides have been placed online, they are available all semester.
Free! (always a good thing)
The articles can be translated into Spanish. Just open an article, look at the top tool bar and click on "Translate" to have the current article translated into Spanish. 46 more languages coming soon!
Increased zoom feature: the paper as well as individual articles can be zoomed in to 32x normal view. The reader has the option to view the paper 1 page at a time or 2 pages at a time.
