Notes and Homework, Friday, March 21, 2007

Homework for Friday:  All students should practice reading the summary of "Passage to Freedom" we read and discussed in the Read 180 Lab with Ms. Ashburn.  Also, be sure you can identify the English words for the pictures on the vocabulary cards.  Students should also read aloud in English to a family member or friend and practice speaking English as much as possible.

Math students,  Be sure you know how to convert inches, feet, yards, and miles.  Memorize the following:

1 foot = 12 inches;  1 yard = 36 inches;  1 yard = 3 feet;  1 mile = 5,280 feet;  1 mile = 1760 yards.
