Week after Spring Break

Once we come back from Spring Break, we only have 1 1/2 weeks until CRCT starts.  Please use your time wisely in class to get your assignments completed on time.  All three grade levels will be starting their next set of projects.  The grade levels projects are as follows:

6th grade: "What am I?" - descriptive writing an any electronic advancement in Technology. 

7th grade & 8th Grade: Excel "Budget project" - Plan a party given a certain amount of money, first estimate costs and then actually research the costs to make the party come to life. 

8th grade - we are tentatively looking to go on our Field Trip to Costco in May.  If for some reason that does not work, then we will see what we can work out.

Thank you for being so good while I was absent yesterday.  I only had a few incidences and situations, but an overall excellent note.  I was so proud of you all and thankful that you were so good. 

Welcome 4th Nine Weeks!

Welcome to all of my students this new nine weeks.  I am very excited to have you and hope you are ready to work hard in our final nine weeks.  Each grade level will be working on a variety of different projects.

6th Grade: Keyboard Creation, "What am I?", Publisher, Powerpoint

7th Grade: Fast Food Fun (Excel), Budget (Excel), Tables (Access)

8th Grade: Car Research Project, Budget (Excel), Interviewing

QUIA Information

The students will be using the following websites to complete activties, quizzes, and tests.  The students have been given a log-in and password that will allow them to access it.  If you go to www.quia.com, you can log-in and then access my webpage after you log-in.

Current Projects

6th Grade - Students are working on Keyboarding skills. Test on Keyboard will be on Tuesday September 11th.  Currently working on Learning the keys on the keyboard, and will start Microsoft Word on Mon-Tues of next week. 

7th Grade - Currently working with Excel, "Fast Food Fun" Project.  They have been doing a great job and working very hard on this project.  The project should be finished by Friday September 7th.

8th Grade - Currently working with personal finance.  They have been researching a career, finding the salary, calculating after-tax salary, monthly salary, amount they can spend on a car, and searching for a car.
