My name is Mr. M. Clayton. I am originally from the great state of Mississippi. I attended undergraduate studies at Tougaloo College in Tougaloo, MS. I then attended Auburn University to work on my Masters in Elementary Education. I taught 3rd grade for four years in Montgomery, Alabama. I Then moved to Atlanta, GA where I taught at Conley Hills Elementary School and now I am at Campbell Middle School. I have been at this wonderful school for 2 years going on 3.
Hello all,
The 7th graders will start our final Unit which is Slices and Shadows. The post test will occur around. March 25, 2008. This unit wil involve solid 3 dimensional figures. Please discuss with your child cones, cylinders, rectangular prisms, rectangular pyramids and all the other shapes. The students have a major project due on 3 Dimensional figures on March 24, 2008. They can create a Power Point, Brochure, Posterboard, Display board, a book and even a webpage. Please talk with your child daily about the assignment.

The students have started on unit 6 which is Values that Vary. We plan to have this unit completed by the end of the month. After the unit is completed we will start to focus more skills on the CRCT. The test will be The 3rd week of April.
This current unit deals with Direct and Inverse Variations.
Vocabulary words are:
Direct Variation, Inverse Variation, Constant of Proportionailty, Proportion, Ratio, and Equilvalent Ratios.

We are excited about the new year. I am especially pleased with preparing the students for the upcoming CRCT. Tonight the students have a review sheet that needs to be completed and they also need to return the Math Winter Packet. Thank you for your assistance.

The students in Math 7 today worked with Chapter 8 Lesson 1. The students should study their vocabulary words as well as complete their homework assignment. The homework assignment is to complete worksheet Practice A and B. The students will have a Quiz on Thursday. The quiz will cover vocabulary and lessons 1 and 2 in chapter 8.
The Math 7/8 students have homework from the Math book. The page 612 number 1-22. The students will have their post test for unit 4 on Monday, November 12, 2007. Please study.

This is just a reminder that Math 7 will have their Unit 3 Post Test on Thursday, November 8, 2007 . Please remind your child to study their cornell notes for this unit as well as the materials we went over in class today. This is a very important test. Tonight the students in Math 7/8 have homework in their math book on page 606, problems 30-38. The students will have test tomorrow that will cover Chapter 11-1 through 11-5. The test will also have vocabulary.
