Dear parents and students,
6th grade is a fascinating and anxious time. Students will push boundaries and expectations as they discover themselves and their surroundings. As a parent, it is extremely necessary to support and guide your child to make correct and responsible decisions. Parents can stay on top of assignments through Pinnacle Internet Viewer (PIV), the student’s agenda and e-mail correspondence with teachers. Here is some advice from our 6th grade staff:
- Encourage parents to ask about their student's math homework. I know many of the parents may not understand every problem, but just by allowing the student to explain what they are doing in class will help them. K. Bryan
- Student’s should have there agenda signed every day. Reward the child each week for it. D. Jerard
- Check student's agenda nightly. Communicate with students FIRST regarding what they are learning and why their succeeding/failing. D. Harris
