AR Reading
Students should continue to read 20-45 minutes daily & take AR quizzes about every 10 days. Here is the dates I will be checking AR quiz scores to add to the grade book: 10/26, 11/7, 11/17, 11/28, 12/9, 12/19. Students have until the end of the quarter to complete the requirement of 6 AR quizzes. This accounts for 10% of the ELA grade. Please see the entry on this blog about AR for more details.
Expository Writing
EXPOSITORY WRITING is writing that informs or explains. Three types of expository essays are (1) Compaer & Contrast, (2) Problem & Solution and (3) Cause & Effect.
