Monday, Jan 23: Read pages R40-1 about Persuasive in yellow text to include details on the following in Cornell Notes in Writing Journal: Define persuasive writing, 7 tips for a successful persuasive essay, 4 key techniques, types of support, good begninnings & endings, and details on the 2 options for organizing a persuasive essay. This is to prepare for the Persuasive Essay final next week.   Homework: Read 20-45 minutes in AR book. AR Quiz #2 due by 11/30.

Tuesday, Jan. 24  "Writing a Perusasive Paragraph" page 129. Exercise B & C were written in the Writing Journal & shared in class. Homework: Read 20-45 minutes in AR book. AR Quiz #2 due by 11/30.

Wednesday, Jan 25   Persuasive Debates. Students will form an agrument on a perusasive issue to debate another student.  Homework: Read 20-45 minutes in AR book. AR Quiz #2 due by 11/30.
