Tuesday, Jan. 17 -  Practice on Persuasive writing using a Persuasion Map.Review of prewriting technique: T-Chart. Preparation for School Wide Writing Exam tomorrow.  Homework: Complete worksheet Coordingating Conjunctions, p. 37-38. Read 20 minutes in AR book. Quiz #1 due by Friday, January 20th

***January 18th - 90 minute SCHOOL-WIDE WRITING EXAM (taken in homeroom classes) 8th grade- State of Georgia Writing Exam, 6th & 7th Grade will have a mock writing test to practice testing procedures. Persuasive Essays will be scored and count as a grade in ELA class.
