Tuesday, January 31 Critically Analyze articles entitled, "What Video Games Can Teach Us" and "The Violent Side of Video Games" by Emily Sohn by completing questions in blue portion. Complete all pages 184-194. Homework: Complete classwork as homework. Read 20-45 minutes in AR book.
Wednesday, February 1: Writing Prompt for persuasive writing practice in Writing Journals. Prewriting on page 203 must be completed before writing the draft in student's Writing Journal. Homework: Complete yesterday's classwork as homework. Read 20-45 minutes in AR book. Period 4 ONLY: Notices sent home with students with a 73 or below for parent signature.
Thursday, February 2: Summative Writing Exam on Persuasive (Argument) Writing. Students must complete the prewriting, draft, and revise & edit. Homework: Read 20-45 minutes in AR book. Period 2 ONLY: Notices sent home with students with a 73 or below for parent signature.
Friday, February 3 Media Center for AR book exchange. Use a reading strategy to read new AR book and write a response. Homework: Read 20-45 minutes in AR book.
